At first sight, a CoD4 spin-off with good features

Battlefield: Bad Company includes 5 different playable classes, including Assault, Recon, Demolition, Support, and Specialist.
Each class has it's own weapon set, which comes with a weapon, a secondary weapon, and two usable items.
In most classes you have to unlock a second item, but for the most part it's quite the simple game to get a hold of.

One major flaw of Battlefield: Bad Company is its entire lack of different gameplay options.
Your different games are limited to Attacking, in which you are trying to blow up two gold crates and take the enemy base on a pretty large map with 3-5 different enemy bases, or you are on the Defenders team, in which you defend said gold crates until the attackers run out of reinforcements, which they can receive extra amounts from blowing up both gold crates.
But what the game lacks in gameplay, it definitely makes up for in maps.
The maps on the game are fully developed, and hugely built.

Battlefield: Bad Company provides some features that gamers will greatly appreciate.
The ability to blow up almost anything is something that is a good addition to the gameplay.
Need to get to your objective, but the doorway's guarded?
Blow the wall out and move in amid confusion.
Someone in a house, but you don't know how many enemies there are?
Drive a tank through and go in guns blaring.
The driving controls aren't too difficult, but they aren't too well built either.
Vehicles are, however, what you expect them to be.
A nice feature about driving is the choice for 3rd or 1st person steering.
Although in cars and boats it isn't too useful to use 1st person, in tanks your accuracy is sharply increased.
Helicopters are difficultly controlled, and landing is near impossible, if possible at all.

Achievements are unlocked in both multiplayer, and singleplayer, but none of them give you a sense of achieving something epic.
No, the real achievements are in the game.
A medal system, somewhat similar to Halo, in which users are awarded medals for such feats as 5 kills without dieing, or 3 kills with grenades.
Gaining awards in game gives you points in the point system, one similar to CoD4, where you get 10 points for a kill, and 2 points for an assist, and much more.
But the real feats are in the patches.
Similar to medals, but they can only be unlocked once, and with great difficulty.

Battlefield's greatest feature is its sound.
Amazing.
Truly.
Every footstep can be heard.
Authentic voice acting is used for the Russian and Middle-Eastern teams.
Gunfire can be heard all around the map.
If an explosion goes off near the player, you're deafened for an amount of time.
The sound is truly the highlight of the game.

All in all, I would rate BF: Bad Company an 8.5/10.
The game is pretty good, but the actual gameplay online is completely destroyed by the idiotic players you find online.
In the time that I spent on the game, I could not find someone who could outscore me.
It gets exasperating to have teammates walk in front of rockets, or try to knife someone you're shooting with an assault rifle.
I suggest you rent the game, and you'll get the gist of the experience in the 5 days you play it.

NP
I let Gorske borrow it, and I'm not too concerned when I get it back.
I'm going to sell it though.
The people on it are just too dumb, and I'm above and beyond 90% of their skill levels.
